Reaction of iron with sulfur is initiated by heat and iron sulfide is formed. The top gif shows a mix of iron and sulphur catching alight.

The second GIF is of a glass rod being heated by a blue flame… (so pretty). The heat energy from this glass rod is used to initiate the reaction.
